Sweet’n’Raw’s Spring Shopping Guide: JEANS

Another week, another series of posts my sweet readers. As I told you before, it’s all about Spring here at Sweet’n’Raw and we are just getting started with our Shopping Guide. Have you done your Spring cleaning yet? If you haven’t, it’s time to start now. Whether you are a fan or not, jeans are a very important part of our wardrobe. I used to be the ultimate jean hater, until I discovered how resourceful they can be when it comes to combining and making the most of our closet. This season, the trends for jeans are as fun as they could ever get: colorful and printed! Sweet’n’Raw has enlisted the six biggest denim trends for this Spring. Let’s start!

As you have probably noticed and I’m sure that you are mad for this trend like me, it’s all about pastels this season. Entering a Zara store is like a trip to candy land with all of those sugary and powdery shades. Your best allies for the season, pastel jeans! My advice, get one in every color (mint, pastel yellow, powder pink, lavender, etc). I can guarantee you’ll be using this babies a lot, it’s worth the splurge. Skinny, high waisted, cropped or cuffed, they are key items on your Spring closet.

  4. J Brand Denim

It’s not the same as the powder pink pair, it’s a whole different thing. You must get a pair of hot (not neon, we’ll be getting into that topic later on) pink skinnies! They work great as a color-blocking element, they will definitely get some heads turning your way and since Barbie, we all girls love hot pink! For this trend, go for skinny and low-rised.

The neon madness is here to stay! Designers have already made their bright statement with electric accessories, jumpers and even shoes. Evidently, jeans are never left behind. Right now, almost every retailer carries a wide range of this eye-catching shades of neon. Have a look around (you’ll have plenty to choose from), find the color that suits your skin and the shape that flatters your figure. Join the fluorescent cult!

I have been mad for flowers for several years now, and this season, I can also wear them on my jeans. One of the biggest trends for Spring are floral printed jeans, and what better way to pull it off than with a pair of bright printed ones. Current Elliot, the current jeans king, offers a softer version, while River Island has some flashy and fun patterns. This babies are great if you want to try out my beloved Mash-up trend, so start mixing!

Wild thing! You make my heart beat! That’s what everyone will be saying to you when you sport a pair of animal printed beauties. Whether you go for the rocker chick vibe, or you pair them up with some romantic pieces for an interesting twist, I can guarantee you are gonna love to have them in your repertoire. You can go for classic grey or camel washed-up version or for a bolder choice, blue leopard, baby!

May I introduce the color that flatters almost any skin type: TEAL. I have been a fan of this shade forever and now that I can wear it also in jeans, I adore it even more. It’s like wearing classic blue jeans, but with a hue twist. Choose the tone that you like best or that flatters you the most. A tip: to elongate your lower limbs, go for a skinny, non-cropped and darker pair. If you decide to go jegging, pay special attention to your pelvic area, camel-toe is definitely fashion blasphemy.

Sweet kisses…
