Actress Jessica Parè portrays young secretary Megan Calve in AMC’s hit series Mad Men. She is also now known as Don Draper’s fiancée (that bitch!). From the first time Megan appeared on the show, I was immediately drawn to her character’s style, the colors, the structured garments, the soft silhouttes. Almost like a Jackie O in the making, Ms. Calve’s fashion has become a personal favorite (even if own a pair of pillows similar to those of Ms. Holloway) and one of the many reasons I am addicted to the show. If you get to kiss John Hamm on set (that has to be the best job on earth), you deserve to have your own look. So here it is,

The “MEGAN” look:

I chose a structured high-waisted skirt in white. I paired it up with a lightweight blouse with a bow tie front in a baby blue shade. I replaced the original belt (black) on the skirt with a hot pink thin one to splash some color in the ensemble. For shoes, I went for a unusual and risky style that somehow seems to work perfectly. This Anastacia Bice leopard pumps with pastel details and bow are to die for. The heel length is perfect, the design is stunning.

For accessories, since the outfit is a bit on the neutral side (except fot the belt) I stuck with pink. A framed clutch from the Tiffany & Co. bag line. I find this to have a hint of old vintage glamour, perfect for a dressy outfit. In fact, the colors used for the entire line are beautiful and vivid. For jewelry, simple studded flower earrings vintage style and a light blue and gold ring, also vintage style. For the hands, a simple enamel bracelet in light pink or even beige will do the trick (almost any store is carrying them right now, they are a must-have item) and a glossy pink shade (Essie carries hundreds of different hues from where to choose from and the quality and durability of the polish is amazing) for the nails for a finishing touch.
